"Being Fearless Among the Fearful"

—from "Fearless Future" - Epilogue

Years ago, I signed up for a year of law school. Looking back upon the experience, I would now define it as a totally unremarkable, free-will choice that I made at a directionless time in my life. I achieved so-so grades, I did not meet anyone with whom I stayed in contact, and found the reading and reporting of legal cases to be a tedious waste of time. I also had to contend with an annoying distraction from deceased plaintiffs and defendants who would contact me during class discussions to telepathically communicate their side of a case.

"Verklempt!"

There's one thing that never ceases to get me—"Verklempt!" It's when I see people unifying, working together—just as the trapped miners in Chile are currently doing. Their rescue is estimated to occur in about four months.

Even birds in formation, the Blue Angels, and watching "the wave" in large stadiums—make me weep. I believe that working together in community is the way of the future. I once inadvertently "time-traveled" there, where I got a glimpse, a sneak preview of that future. I used to refer to it as —"Through the Hedge."

Eat, Pray, Love

Eat, Pray, Love: the movie—I felt that the screenwriter (+Julia) pulled it off, a challenging feat when so much of the book's appeal = Elizabeth Gilbert's ability to put deep-down emotions into wonderfully descriptive words + a sort of Woody Allen-ish introspection that = great entertainment...

The Impermanence of All Things

We experience a false sense of safety when life stays the same for any period of time. We delude ourselves by thinking that we can keep change at bay—avoid its disruptions—if we simply focus on battening down the hatches more securely and concentrate on perfecting imperfections. There is a sense that by making things more perfect in the present, we will safeguard certainties, decrease uncertainties, and secure for ourselves a personally endorsed future.—from Fearless Future

Are You Spiritual or Psychotic?

Larry had been to hell and back and now his spirit soared. “Religion is for people who fear hell,” Larry told me. “Spirituality is for those who have been there.” Life to Larry is not about a church but belief in the human spirit…"

“People who hear voices and see things that aren’t there can be classified into two groups. The first group are people who cannot cope with these voices and are called mentally ill. The second group are people who can cope with the voices and are called psychic. It is my personal belief that being psychic and being psychotic are the same thing depending upon how you cope with it. Society in general regards people who talk to God as holy. But society in general regards people whom God talks to as insane.”—excerpts from a blog by Therese Borchard

Short-Circuit Pessimism

Here's another good article from Oprah's website:
How To Be An Optimist By Lise Funderberg from O, The Oprah Magazine  |  February 15, 2002

We know that positive thoughts and emotions pull us back into alignment (where the Source can find us and hear our prayers)—and elevate our amps to higher manifestation frequencies. There are quite a few ideas re. optimism in the article, and this section caught my eye: SHORT-CIRCUIT PESSIMISM:

There's another reason for putting on a happy face: It influences your brain in a positive way. In one study, subjects who were asked to hold a pen in their mouth

It doesn’t have to be

Positive Emotions

I recently saw the movie Inception with Leo DeCaprio - whoa! Fascinating plot re. the dreamworld, implanting ideas, suggestions..."the most powerful thoughts are the ones connected to positive emotions."

Trying Not To Get Drailed From My Path!

in

Q: There is an employee who was transferred to me in April. I've known her in a casual, friendly way for 21 years. She recently filed harassment charges and other work-related charges against me. I knew she was unhappy and could "feel" the vibration for some time. I know that it's a good spiritual development opportunity for me...my inner guidance tells me to just be the channel through which Light flows and to not get stuck on that which would derail me from my path. I'm also wrestling with another situation:
